Master Yanhui Shi, the 34th Generation Monk Master from Shaolin Temple, China. He’s one of the only 500 Monk masters in the world. During his 18 years of monastic life in Shaolin Temple, he has received extensive training in Shaolin Kung Fu and Zen meditation. He has attended over 200 different large scale stage performances and various major world leaders events including performances for the Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Russia President Putin, Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge, etc. Master Yanhui is the president of the US Shaolin Kungfu Association and the principal of “ Shaolin Kung Fu Yuan” in Arcadia.
"Shaolin Kung Fu Yuan", is a kung fu school, located 921 S. Baldwin Blvd, Unit D, Arcadia, CA 91007. Their curriculum includes traditional traditional shaolin fist, 18 weapons, qigong, wellness exercises and zen meditation, self-defense etc.
For kids and youth, practicing shaolin kung fu can help them correct postures, body strength, improve physical coordination, physical fitness, and also build-up self-confidence, improve and raise memory. For adults, learning Kung Fu can improve their immune system, reduce stress from work and provide better health and internal peace.

Shaolin Kung Fu is the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu. The temple is located within Dengfeng City, Henan Province of China. Since it is located in the jungle of ShaoShi mountain, it is named as “Shaolin Temple”. Shaolin Temple was built in 495 AD, 1500 years ago. The essence of Shaolin culture is – Zen, Kung Fu, and Medicine.
Shaolin Kung Fu is a large technical system, not just in the sense of “martial arts” or “boxing”. There are many different types of Chinese martial arts. Shaolin kung fu is one of the oldest Chinese martial arts with the complete training system and therefore, is one of the top martial arts schools.
According to the records and manuals handed down in the Shaolin Monastery, there are over hundreds of sets of Shaolin Kung Fu. In addition to the fist stunts and weapons, there is a unique category called 72 stunts techniques, as well as other training methods like grappling, free fighting, joint locking, attacking acupuncture points, qigong exercises etc.
Shaolin Kung Fu’s core concepts include offensive and defensive combat. Routine by the combination of a series of movements. Each movement is built in line with the laws of human anatomy and medical knowledge of ancient China. Each set of movements emphasizes on combining the action and responses, attention to the yin and yang balance, hard and soft movements, and exhibiting one’s spirits and forms. The most famous of which is the principle of “the Six Coordination”: hands with the feet, elbows with the knees, shoulders with the hips, mind with the intent, intent with the qi, and lastly qi with the strengths.
